New this year, swimmers can purchase early bird pool passes online. The early bird sale is going on now until opening day. No pool passes will be sold at Old Memorial Pool before opening day.
All early bird pool pass purchases receive a 10% discount. Swimmers can purchase passes for an individual, dual or family. Passes are priced differently for Northfield residents and non-residents.
“We’re excited to finally offer online pool passes. This will be very convenient for swimmers and staff. People can purchase them any time and on any day before the pool opens.” said Tom Spooner, the pool supervisor.
The new online system will allow purchasers to share pool passes digitally among family members. Swimmers will now scan the pool pass’s QR code on their mobile device to enter. For those without a mobile device, the pool pass can be printed.
The pool season follows the school summer break, typically opening in early June and closing in mid to late August. This year the pool is scheduled to open on June 7 and close on August 24. Dates are subject to change.
The pool has a zero-depth entry, a climbing wall, a toddler pool, concessions, and other amenities. Visitors should follow all posted directions and instructions at the pool.
