318 Northfield High School students celebrated graduation this past Sunday at Memorial Field. The graduation held outdoors was a warm one with hundreds of students gathering on the field, and the bleachers filled with family and friends.
In his address to the students and audience, retiring High School Principal Shane Baier thanked the Northfield Schools community for welcoming him these past 3 years as well as praising the students for their accomplishments and next steps:
“Today, this celebration of your hard work, growth, and resilience in the classroom, on the stage, the field, and Many other places you have challenged yourselves and you’ve achieved great things.” – Shane Baier, Northfield High School Principal
Additionally, speeches were given by the School Board Chair, Claudia Gonzalez-Geroge, students Leena Brown, Nina Do, and Keith Harner, and the commencement address was given by Noah Gagnon, and the final remarks were by Superintendent Dr. Matt Hillmann with music by the High School Band.
