Chris Dibble has been announced as the new principal of Northfield High School. Dibble comes to Northfield with 25 years of experience in education, including a decade of service in high school administration. He most recently worked as the Principal of Albert Lea High School, where the school was honored with the Minnesota Association of Secondary Principals’ Star of Innovation Silver Award for working in enhancing career and technical education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Minnesota, and an Education Specialist degree from the University of St. Thomas.

In a letter to school district families, Schools Superintendent Dr. Matt Hillmann stated that “ His [Dibble] deep understanding of education and commitment to student success will undoubtedly benefit our high school community.”

According to the letter, Dibble was selected from a competitive field of nearly two dozen applicants, and the selection process involved approximately 50 staff members, students, and parents. We thank all who contributed to this critical decision.

Dibble is set to start on July 1st. He replaces retiring High school principal Shane Baier.

“As we celebrate Shane Baier’s dedicated and exceptional service, we look forward to welcoming Chris Dibble to Northfield High School and embarking on this new chapter of leadership together.”
