Phase 2 of the 2025 Reclamation and Overlay Project is set to get underway on Monday, June 16 through mid-July. The project includes Maple Street from Jefferson Parkway to Ford Street and Superior Drive from Maple Street to Erie Drive.
Maple Street will be closed during Phase 2 to construct a raised crossing just south of Lake Drive. Detour signs will be posted directing traffic to Superior Drive and Michigan Drive.
According to a statement from the city: “The City of Northfield urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.”
Work projects continue on Laurel Court, near Kwik Trip and Sechler Park and at Industrial Drive. Both of those projects are full road reconstructions. Work continues at Wall Street which is a joint project between the city and Rice County.
