Today is also Third Thursday, and that means music, food, and fun is set to take over downtown this evening. The event kicks off at 5pm and goes till 8pm with music being performed on Bridge Square in the showmobile. The opening act will be the Just Friends group, followed by the Northfield Community Band.

Several family-friendly games will be available, including skateboarding activities put on by Northside Boards. Here’s Emery John with the Friends of Downtown, the organizers of the event:
“The Northside boards is putting on a whole skate situation for kids; kids to learn how to skate all up and down Division Street. That’ll be really fun. We’re really grateful for them putting that on.” – Emery John of the Friends of Downtown Northfield, KYMN News File.
The Fermentation Tent will also be located downtown, featuring drinks from Loon Liquors, Keepsake Cidery, Imminent Brewing, and Chapel Brewing. Additional vendors will be at the event.

John noted that the event is a collaboration of several downtown organizaitons and businesses:
“Age Friendly has been a great partner this year, especially the Chamber of Commerce has really strong work bringing in some of those vendors who don’t have storefronts in the downtown.” – Emery John of the Friends of Downtown Northfield, KYMN News File.
