Changes coming to county’s Emergency Alert System

Everbridge, the mass notification system used by Rice and Steele counties, has introduced a new feature allowing users to manage all notifications from a single location. To access it, follow the instructions below.

The rollout is occurring in phases:

  • Monday, June 16 – The Community profile page went live at https://public.everbridge.net. Here, users can create a profile to manage all their Member Portal subscriptions in one place.
  • Tuesday, July 1 – A link to the Everbridge Community profile page will automatically appear on users’ public Member Portal web pages in which they can click to access the new page.
  • Monday, July 7 – New users who visit their Member Portal for the first time and click “Sign Up” in the lower-right corner will be automatically redirected to the Everbridge Community page to create a profile.
  • Monday, July 14 – Users’ Member Portal will only display a link directing them to the Everbridge Community profile page for login and profile management.

All Rice County residents can sign up for this free service. Information entered is protected and will not be used for any other purposes. Messages can be sent to all standard voice and text communication devices that residents have registered, including landline phones, cell phones, email and more.
