State Park Fun Over the Fourth of July

Looking for a way to celebrate the Fourth of July? Minnesota’s state parks, recreation areas, and trails offer the perfect backdrop for a holiday getaway. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or just soaking in the scenery, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy the outdoors this Independence Day.

Within an hour of Northfield, there are several state parks, including Nerstrand Big Woods and Sakatah Lake.
