Up first performing on the Showmobile Stage is Helen Forsythe from 5 pm to 6 pm, followed by the Pan Handlers from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Chairs will be provided for people to sit and watch, but folks can also bring their own chairs.

Theresa Jensen is a Board Member of the Friends of Downtown Northfield, the organizers of the event:

“This will be a really fun event for people to do. So we’re we’re doing our best to get bands that make people tap their toes and want to get up and dance.” – Theresa Jensen, Board member of the Friends of Downtown Northfield, on KYMN In The Morning

North of Bridge Square, in the 300 Block of Division Street, several vendors will be set up, as well as one of the Northfield Fire Department’s trucks, which will be open for kids to explore.

South of Bridge Square, in the 400 Block of Division Street, will be several kids games and activities as well as a skateboarding area, put on by the Northside Boards.

The Fermentation Friends are serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and for this month their focus is on Loon Liquors.

And, of course, several businesses will be open and available for shopping during the evening, with special extended hours.

Board Member CC Linstroth stated that the event is about community and encouraged the everyone to attend:

“The last Third Thursday was very exciting, so I want you to think about coming down, its free. The socializing is great. The physical activity walking around downtown Northfield, playing cornhole, walking into the stores … It’s an opportunity, yet another opportunity for us to be together not multi-generational, but intergenerational. So Third Thursday it’s just great.”  – CC Linstroth, Board Member of the Friends of Downtown and Age Friendly Northfield, on KYMN In The Morning

Third Thursday takes place tonight from 5pm to 8pm along Division Street in Downtown Northfield.
