Friday is the deadline for neighborhoods to register to host a Night to Unite party. Set for August 5th, Night to Unite is an evening to gather with your neighbors, get to know each other, and promote community safety. Northfield Police Chief Jeff Schroepfer stated that it was a time to build relationships between residents and emergency services:
“And it’s truly to build that community feel like we know and love here in Northfield.” – Jeff Schroepfer, Northfield Police Chief on KYMN In The Morning

The city is looking for residents to host neighborhood parties as part of the evening. All registered hosts will receive a complimentary party kit, which includes plates, napkins, utensils, and activities for children, courtesy of the Northfield Police Department and the Northfield Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention.
Representatives from the police department, emergency medical services, and fire department will be available to visit the neighborhood parties.
The deadline to register is July 25, 2025. To register your Night to Unite party, pick up a registration form at the Northfield Police Department or complete the online form at: northfieldmn.gov/NightToUnite
