It’s Townie Night for the Defeat of Jesse James Days. Here’s a look at what’s happening this evening!
The carnival takes over Ames Park starting at 5 pm, and wristband night goes from 6 to 10 pm. The wristband offers unlimited rides for Thursday night only and can be purchased at the fairgrounds for $25. Kids can also test their strength at the Pedal Tractor Pull starting at 5:30 p.m. between 4th & 5th Streets.
Down on Bridge Square, the food vendors will be open all evening. Fire Department Bridge Square Bingo will be underway as well, starting at 6 pm.
The Northfield History Center will host a free reception from 4 to 8 p.m. Which includes Free museum entry and tours, a local history tent featuring Maggie Lee’s local community resident files, and Northfield Middle and High School yearbooks.
Two events for car enthusiasts will be happening on opposite ends of Division Street. The Thursday Night Thunder will run from 6 to 8 pm between 5th and 6th Street. It’s an opportunity to meet local motorsport racing teams, enjoy family fun with autographs, and participate in games. Meanwhile, down near the Library between 2nd and 4th Street will be the Classic Car Cruise. The lineup begins at 5 pm, with the cruise starting at 6 pm.
And the festivities get underway at The Entertainment Center starting at 5pm, with beer pouring by the past DJJD General Chairs and Ambassadors. Starting at 8pm till midnight, The Paul Stewart Band takes the stage.
