The Hispanic Heritage Celebration is coming up on Saturday. The event takes place in Central Park from 11am to 4pm, starting with the Latin American Flag Parade. One of the organizers of the event, Angelica Linder, stated that the performances were some of the main attractions:
“And we’re going to have a wonderful performance and stage. We’re going to have folklorico dance groups from Peru, Mi Peru, Minnesota, and Venezuela, Vaila Venezuela. And then we’re going to have music from a chili group called Ina Yuca. And the main band will be Ray de Rancho, and then we’re gonna have two local dance groups, one from Folklorico, Mexico, and Guatemala dance group.” – Angelica Linder, Northfield Library Outreach Manager on KYMN In The Morning

Among the other events are face painting, a festive pet costume contest, craft, and food vendors:
“Okay, food, let’s start with our wonderful Norris Venezuelan food cuisine, which is gonna be there. El Jefe, that is a Mexican food truck. We’re gonna have pupusas from El Salvador. And we’re gonna have Cocos, and so other local vendors, we’re gonna have someone selling bread, another one desserts, and Colombian empanadas, Mexican tamales, and other like little snacks and drinks.” – Angelica Linder, Northfield Library Outreach Manager on KYMN In The Morning
