The Northfield Arts Guild has a new exhibit in its main gallery: Glimpses of Downtown Northfield, a 50 Year Retrospective. The work, curated by Jim Bohnhoff, consists of various signs and art pieces from downtown over the years, serving as both an art exhibit and a lens to look back in time on Northfield. Bohnhoff is the designer of many of the signs on downtown buildings. Michael Johnson, the Executive Director of the Guild, said that the exhibit was a celebration of Northfield:
“So when you walk into the Guild, you’ll be able to see a time lapse, basically dating back to 1975. And you can probably see yourself in some of these photos. So super grateful for him to be able to put that show up.” – Micheal Johnson, Executive Director of the Northfield Arts Guild, on KYMN In the Morning
Also in the exhibit are several of the sketches and draft designs for some of the different signs downtown, as well as a few physical signs and historical pictures. The exhibit will be up until October 6th.
