The Dundas City Council meets this evening for a regular meeting. On the agenda is approving a contract with Epic Enterprise. Epic Enterprises is licensed to provide training and habilitation services to adults with disabilities, including employment and employment-related services. Epic Enterprises works toward integration in the community, development of job skills, increasing income level, and improvement of the employment status or job advancement of the persons served. Currently, they are contracted with Dundas to provide work crews for services in the Public Works Department and Memorial Park. The council is being asked to approve a new contract with Epic, with higher rates for the next year.
The other item on the agenda includes approving an update to the city’s compensation plan. The city conducted previous compensation studies in 2018 and 2022, finding that the pay for Police Officers was well below the market rate. The study would help Dundas City Staff set future pay rates.
