By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net

Happy Halloween! It’s a particularly special day for kids in Northfield, as they have both today and Monday off from school, for two teacher workshop days (can you believe it were already halfway through the fall semester). Besides just trick-or-treating, several fun events are happening in Northfield today.

Northfield Public Library: Slightly Spooky Songs & Stories

Today at the Northfield Public Library, there will be two events. First at 10am will be Slightly Spooky Songs and Stories, for 2 to 5-year-olds. Share stories, act like monsters, and more! Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume. The event takes place in the Bunday Room, siblings are welcome as well.

“And he serves up his original Halloween treats, irreverent tales inspired by horror, pop culture, just in time for this scariest of seasons right now. Audiences can expect silly and spooky nods to the Necronomicon, see, The Thing, short-tempered ghosts, lusty vampires, a chock-full of chainsaws, Dungeons and Dragons, see the nerd things.” – Pauline Jennings, Arts Guild Performing Arts Director on KYMN In The Morning

The performances are at the Arts Guild Theater and start at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased for $10 on the Arts Guild website: Northfieldartsguild.org

The Grand Event Center: Metalfest
