Barn, outbuilding, and their contents were a total loss in Monday Afternoon Fire near Kenyon

On the afternoon of Nov. 3, 2025, Rice County Sheriff’s deputies, along with multiple local fire departments, responded to a report of a barn fire at 10911 Kenyon Boulevard in Richland Township, Rice County.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 2:03 p.m. after the property owner reported visible flames coming from a barn on the property. Upon arrival, first responders found the structure fully engulfed. Firefighters were initially dispatched from Kenyon, with mutual aid assistance from Faribault Fire, Nerstrand Fire, and Northfield Area Fire and Rescue. 

No injuries to residents, firefighters or bystanders were reported, but it’s believed two livestock animals lost. The barn, one other outbuilding and its contents are believed to be a total loss.
