On a personal note, I want to let you all know that I gave my resignation notice last week and that December 19th will be my last day on the KYMN airwaves. It has truly been a great honor to have worked at KYMN for over 8 years (it would have been 9 years in February).
As a freshman in High School, I started working in the Sports Department, working the studio side of operations. Later that year, I started my first edition of Have Yourself A Classic Christmas, a program that has returned each year since. With the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I soon found that there was no more sports programming, but that didn’t keep me from finding a space at KYMN. That fall, I published the first election guide.
Listen to the News:
In the last year and a half, being News Director has been a fantastic experience. I have gotten to see firsthand how special Northfield is and just how many great people there are in this community. The list of thank yous is a few miles long, and I’ll share it closer to the 19th.
As for me, I am going to be focusing on finishing my Master’s of Business Administration, which I am set to graduate with in May, and from there, my next steps. Don’t worry, I am not leaving Northfield; I’ll still be on the Friends of Downtown Board, helping organize Third Thursdays, and on the Defeat of Jesse James Days Committee.
Thank you to everyone for all your support. I’ll see you around.
