Winter Walk is this Evening; Here’s All the Information You Need for the Evening:

Winter Walk is this evening in Northfield, the exciting event up and down Division Street of shopping, carols, games, and fun for all! Will have the full list of events on our website in today’s news. 

The evening gets underway at 5pm with the tree lighting ceremony on Bridge Square led by Santa, the Mayor, and the 6th Grade Choir. Here’s Jane Bartho, President of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce: 

“We’ve got the old-fashioned, the vintage fire truck this year, bringing Santa into downtown about 5:00, right when we get ready for that tree lighting.” – Jane Bartho, President of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce 

Bartho stated that it will be a busy night at Bridge Square, where the showmobile stage will be set up:

“We’ve got the Showmobile with a whole bunch of performances, at least every half hour, if not more. We’ve got music performances, dance performances. We’ve got Santa on Bridge Square.”  – Jane Bartho, President of the Northfield Chamber of Commerce

Events at the Showmobile take places every 15 minutes: 

  • 5:30pm – Northfield Dance Academy
  • 5:45pm – DJJD Ambassador Story Time – ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
  • 6pm – Ornament Hunt Winner Announcement
  • 6pm – 7th Grade choir
  • 6:30pm – Division Street Dance 
  • 6:45pm – DJJD Ambassador Story Time – ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
  • 7pm – 8th Grade Choir
  • 7:30pm – I Cantani & LeDonne Singers

Many stores have their own lineups of events and activities, including live music, games, and more. Review the full program to plan. The night wraps up with Fire Works launching from Ames Park at 8:30pm. 

*Here at KYMN, we will host our first ever open house tonight during Winter Walk. Cannon Power Sports set up in front of our studios showing snowmobiles, side-by-sides, ATV’s and other outdoor equipment beginning at 4:30.
