Northfield is gearing up for a night of music, community, and generosity. This coming Saturday night Armory Square will host a benefit concert to support the Northfield Fine Arts Booster Board, which is a group dedicated to enriching arts education in Northfield schools.
The event promises an unforgettable evening featuring the music of Bruce Springsteen, performed by an incredible lineup of local talent. Event organizer Ray Coudret said more than 50 performers – people ranging from from teenagers to seasoned musicians – will take the stage to deliver 35 Springsteen classics, spanning The Boss’s full career from his first album Greetings from Asbury Park, New Jersey to modern favorites like Land of Hope and Dreams.
Coudret sees the concert is more than just a show—it’s a celebration of community. “There’s nothing quite like this experience,” he said. “The music is great, but the feeling in the room is what makes it special.”
The concert begins at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. Admission is a suggested $20 donation, but Coudret made it a point to stress that everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to pay. All proceeds benefit the Fine Arts Boosters, which fund programs like guest artist visits, adaptive art materials, and the Roger Jenni Instruments for All initiative, which ensures that every Northfield student has access to an instrument.
Since 2018, these benefit concerts have raised over $22,000 for arts education. This year’s show, sponsored by Jonathan and Liz Reppe, the owners of Armory Square who are donating their space, continues that tradition with a mix of local legends and rising stars.
