Northfield Public Schools closed on Monday, March 16th; other area districts announce closings as well.

The Northfield Public School District has announced that all public schools will be closed on Monday, March 16th. In an announcement the district said schools will be closed and it will be an eLearning Day.

The Northfield Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026, due to conditions related to the current blizzard.  All classes and activities are canceled for the day. Northfield Public Schools will make a decision about the District Band Concert scheduled for the evening of March 16 by noon on Monday. The plan for the concert will be emailed to families.

The Northfield High School Pre-Bid Walkthrough will be held as scheduled on March 16 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Additionally, the Faribault, Randolph, Kenyon-Wanamingo, and Farmington school districts have all announced school closures as well.
