Four medical specialists to join NH+C from Allina

By Rich Larson

Four specialists will continue practicing at the former Allina clinic on Jefferson Road as Northfield Hospital + Clinics takes ownership of the facility. Pharmacist Kendra Babcock, sleep medicine physician Dr. Bryan Hoff; acupuncturist Sheralyn McClelland, and podiatrist Dr. Trent Steenblock will all make the transition, according to a statement released by NH+C.

The President and CEO of NH+C, Zander Abbott, said in the statement that the organization is committed to ensuring continuity of care for patients and a smooth transition for providers and staff. He described the clinicians and their teams as trusted partners and respected members of the community.

Not all specialty services at the clinic will move to NH+C. Other specialists will remain with Allina Health and continue serving patients from other Allina locations. Patients affected by those changes will receive information about new clinic locations and contact details. Audiology and hearing aid services will continue through Allina Health locations in Apple Valley, Hastings and Faribault.

Patients currently receiving care at the former Allina Clinic will be contacted directly by their clinicians with details about the transition. Scheduling for appointments with providers joining NH+C will open in August, with visits beginning in late September. Leaders from both organizations emphasized that the change reflects their ongoing partnership and a shared goal of maintaining access to high-quality care close to home for area residents.

NH+C made the announcement of the acquisition and the expansion of its services earlier this year. The process is expected to be completed in September.
