INCIDENT: Structure Fire
DATE/TIME: 05-05-17 @ 3:10 p.m.
LOCATION: 17817 180th Street West (Wells Township)
DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT: On 05-05-17 at 3:10 p.m. Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Faribault Fire and North Ambulance were dispatched to 17817 180th Street W. for a structure fire involving a residence. Dispatch reported the caller was out of the home and no other persons were inside, however there were other residences very close.
Deputies arrived on scene, followed shortly thereafter by Faribault Fire, and discovered the approximate 800 square foot house was nearly fully engulfed. According to the homeowner, the fire originated in the kitchen due to the stove being left on and unattended for some time.
Faribault Fire was assisted by Lonsdale and Kilkenny fire departments. No injuries or loss of life occurred.
