Update on fatality with his name and link to GoFundMe

Hwy 19 was closed for nearly 6 hours yesterday morning as crews worked to clear a fatal crash from I35 at hwy 19.  The State Patrol reports that a Chevy silverado trailering a large camper was southbound on I35 when the driver, 19 year old Noah Finch of Farmington, lost control.  He and his passenger, 18 year old Logan Kittock of Farmington crossed over into the NB lanes blocking the road. A Chevy Cruze, driven by 44 year old Matthew Kling of Lonsdale, was NB on I-35 and struck the rear of the camper.  He died at the scene.   A Ford focus, driven by 27 year old Alex Degezelle of Owatonna was also NB and also struck the camper coming to rest against the guard rail. Lonsdale Fire, Northfield Ambulance, and MNDOT assisted on scene.  I35 opened completely around noon.  Traffic was delayed for miles.  All other injuries were minor.  Road conditions were snowy and icy.  A GoFundMe page has been set up for Matt’s wife and children.  The creator of the page posted, “Matt has an amazing wife & kids who need your love and prayers right now”.
