IRS scam making the rounds

The Northfield Police Department has taken several calls, eight as of this notice, today regarding IRS threats of arrest for overdue fees.  The calls are computer generated and have been asking people to call the number 516-303-8287 and pay their fees or they will be arrested in 48 hours.  These calls are scams and should not be returned.  The Northfield Police Department will not be arresting anyone related to these calls.  The attached phone number will change, but the message will remain the same or similar.  The IRS does not do business in this manner, nor does the Northfield Police Department.
