Northfield Hospital + Clinics welcomes pediatrician Amy Kraushaar, DO

Dr. Amy Kraushaar joins the Northfield Clinic on August 7, providing pediatric care for children and adolescents.  “I enjoy working with families to provide the best possible care for their children during all the stages of growth and development,” she says. “The best part of my job is working with children. There is always laughter and curiosity.”

It’s a return to Northfield for Dr. Kraushaar, who is a graduate of St. Olaf College. Dr. Kraushaar earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO and completed her residency in pediatrics at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

Dr. Kraushaar provides a range of services, including:

*   Newborn care
*   Growth and development
*   Allergies and asthma
*   Advocacy
*   Childhood vaccinations
*   Adolescent medicine

Dr. Kraushaar joins pediatricians Ben Flannery, MD and Todd Amunrud, DO plus pediatric nurse practitioner Sara Gergen, MSN, CPNP-PC, NNP-BC in the Northfield Clinic.

“We’re excited for Dr. Kraushaar to join us, to open up more opportunities for patients to be seen in our clinic by our pediatric team,” says Dr. Flannery, Clinic Medical Director. “We’re eager to expand pediatric care in Northfield and the surrounding communities, caring for kids from birth to age 18.

“We’re especially pleased to add a second female provider, which is comfortable for adolescent girls and teens who want to see a woman for their healthcare,” Flannery adds.
