One more shout out for Volunteers

Northfield Shares thanks everyone for their continued support of storm cleanup efforts throughout the Northfield area. Your generous commitment of time and energy in helping your neighbors is truly inspiring.

During the past six weeks, more than 470 individual volunteers have connected with approximately 100 homeowners to provide direct assistance. All of our wonderful volunteers have enabled most homeowners to remove storm debris to a point where they are ready for winter.

However, there is still one household in need of help in order to be ready for winter. The homeowners will be out working Saturday, November 17, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Sunday, November 18, from 12-4 p.m., and they would greatly appreciate any support you can give. They need extra hands and chainsaws. Snacks and water will be provided.

To sign up to help this weekend, simply reply to mikekrance@northfieldshares.org, indicate your name and availability, how many are in your party, and whether you have a chainsaw or an able body and willingness to help. Also, please add “I Can Help” into the existing subject line.

Next spring, we will reach back out to homeowners to assess their remaining cleanup needs. At that time, we may reach back out for additional volunteer assistance.

Thank you, again, for your generous volunteer support over these many weeks.
