Today in the ArtZany Radio studio Paula Granquist celebrates two original plays. First, from FiftyNorth Marie Gery, Jim Stenglein and Dee Rogers will preview the Old-Time Radio Variety Show featuring “Shurlack Hope and the Case of the Evident Evidence” and “Drag Nut.” Then Russel Boyington and students from the Northfield Middle School will share the story of their play The Count.

OLD-TIME RADIO VARIETY SHOW
This performance features: “Shurlack Hope and the Case of the Evident Evidence” and “Drag Nut.” The two skits were written and directed by FiftyNorth member Dick Waters. The commercials were broadcast on radio during the 1940s. Also, vocal solos by Dean Larson and keyboard expertise by David Miller.
