Following the results of the 2020 Census, Minnesota Congressional and State Legislative Districts were remade to reflect the change in populations. The Minnesota State Legislature and Governor failed to agree on new maps for this year resulting in the Minnesota Supreme Court designing the maps. Congressional Districts:

After redistricting Northfield and Dundas remained in the 2nd Congressional District. However, much of the district did change. To learn more about the change in demographics and the partisan make up check out this research done by FiveThirtyEight.
State Senate 58:

Most of Northfield was previously in State Senate District 20 which was represented by Rich Draheim (R-Madison Lake). In the redistricting process, Sen. Draheim was removed from the district, resulting in no Incumbent Senator in the district. During the redistricting process all of Northfield and the surrounding area has been placed in Senate District 58.

State House 58A:

Most of Northfield was previously in State House District 20B. State Rep. Todd Lippert (DFL-Northfield) decided to not run for reelection in 2022. During the redistricting process all of Northfield, Dundas, and Bridgewater Township were placed in House District 58A.
