Arcadia Charter School will host an information night tonight for those interested in learning about the school and attending the future. Arcadia is a public charter school for 6th – 12th Graders in Northfield, focusing on Progressive Education and Project-based Learning and authorized by the Northfield Public Schools. Here’s Executive Director Laura Stelter in December on KYMN:
The Charter lays out the mission of the school. What? Why we exist. In our case, it’s all about project learning. We have a maximum of 126 students, so it’s a small school, very community-oriented because it’s also a progressive school, progressive in the education sense is more about like building, citizenship, democracy, those sorts of pieces.” – Arcadia’s Executive Director Laura Stelter on the KYMN Morning Show
Tonight’s event is open for anyone grades 5th to 12th and for those interested in a mid-year school transfer or starting in the fall of 2025. The open house includes an opportunity to meet some of the current teachers and take a tour of the school. Arcadia will host future events and information events, including a 5th grader event on January 30th at 6:30pm on February 20th at 6:30pm, and on March 20th at 6:30 for all grades.
Tonight’s open house starts tonight at 6:30pm.
