Saturday is Final Spring Northfield Cleanup Day

Northfield’s second and final spring cleanup day is set for Saturday. Residents are invited to drop off unwanted items at the Street Department Maintenance Facility at 1720 Riverview Drive. Cleanup Day runs from 7 until 11 a.m.

Items accepted without fees include: household garbage, bulk items, and construction waste including windows, doors, lumber, shingles, sheetrock, and scrap metal.

Items accepted with disposal fees ranging from $10 to $40, payable by credit card only, include:

  • Kitchen and laundry appliances
  • Air conditioners and freezers
  • Computers
  • Electronics
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Monitors
  • Tires, including tires on rims.

Items not accepted at Cleanup Day include:

  • Batteries
  • Fertilizer
  • Liquids
  • Paints & Thinners
  • Pesticides
  • Sludge
  • Tar
  • Yard waste and brush
