So pleased to welcome back (although it’s been far too long) Anna Marie Mitchell to the studio today. Such a talented, insightful, and lovely (inside and out!) young woman — and so gracious and mature (in the best of ways, of course) beyond her years. A 2016 graduate of Northfield High School, Anna has already recorded and released her own music, made major in-roads in the music communities in the Twin Cities — and in Nashville (!) — and is now getting ready to head off to college (not-so coincidentally — also in Nashville), where she plans to study music business and international relations.

In addition to chatting a bit (mostly listening to me gush about how amazing she is — and she really is!) — Anna performed three of her original tunes:

Burn On
House of Matches
Run

Can you tell I love this woman? Such a treat to chat with her and hear her perform (and I wish y’all could have also seen her guitar stylings — that gal can play!). So excited to see where she’s headed — and looking forward to keeping in touch and featuring her in the coming months when she’s back in Minnesota visiting family — and performing locally and in the Twin Cities!
